How to use Jogos do Teacher
Everything you need to run a game in class: the rules of each game, how to go live so students can buzz in from their phones, and what every host control does.
Getting started
- Press Play now on the home page, then choose Brain Board or Quiz Quest.
- Pick a game from the grid, or press Play random game to be surprised.
- Name your teams on the setup screen — two to six teams works best.
- Project the board and start playing. Scores are saved automatically as you go.
★ Brain Board rules
A quiz board of categories and point values. Teams take turns choosing a square; harder squares are worth more points.
- A team picks a category and a point value — the question opens full screen.
- Start the timer to give the class thinking time (background music plays while it runs).
- The first team to buzz in answers. Reveal the answer, then mark Correct or Incorrect.
- Correct adds the points; incorrect can trigger Double the Trouble — the other teams buzz for a steal worth double.
- When every square is played, finish the round or move to the next one. The final screen crowns the winner.
Quiz Quest rules
Teams guess the most popular survey answers to a question. The more popular the answer, the more points it is worth.
- Read the survey question out loud and open the buzzers.
- The team that answers first names an answer — tap it on the board to reveal it and score it.
- A wrong answer gives a strike. Three strikes hands control to the other team for a steal.
- During a steal, one correct answer wins the remaining points on the board.
- Finish with Fast Money: reveal each answer to award its points and see the final ranking.
Going live (students on their phones)
- Open a game and press Start live room in the panel on the right.
- Enter your name, email and school the first time — this unlocks live hosting.
- Show the room code and QR code on the projector. Students scan it or go to the join page and type the code.
- Each student picks a team name and lands in the waiting room. The player count updates live.
- Press Enable buzzers when a question is open. The first buzz locks everyone else out and shows the team name plus their buzz time.
- If a student loses connection, the app reconnects automatically and keeps their place — they never need a new code.
- Press End game & results when you finish; the results screen and session history are saved.
Host controls explained
- Enable / disable buzzers — opens or closes buzzing for the whole class. Reset clears the current winner so you can buzz again.
- Start / pause / reset timer — one shared countdown that every device sees. It stops automatically when a team buzzes in, when you reveal the answer and when you award points.
- Reveal answer — shows the answer on the host screen so you can judge the response.
- Correct / incorrect — awards or withholds points and plays a celebration or fail effect.
- End question — closes the question, resets the timer and the buzzers.
- Round arrows — jump between rounds without losing scores.
Sound, music and the screen
- Volume button (top bar) — one slider for all sound effects and a second one just for the thinking music.
- Thinking music — starts on its own whenever you start the question timer, and stops the moment the timer stops.
- Presentation mode — a high-contrast dark theme made for classroom projectors.
